Samsung has rolled out the DVD-N501, its second-generation Nuon-enhanced DVD player. Among its features, NUON technology can scan DVDs up to 256 times their normal playing speed and zoom in on a portion of the screen while it's playing. The Virtual Light Machine plays dancing colors to music CDs. The N501 can also play back MP3, DVD-R and VCD files.

Leviton Manufacturing Co.'s Desktop Stereo Modulator combines composite audio and video signals from a variety of sources, including DVD players, DSS receivers and VCRs and converts the digital signals to RF (radio frequency).
