Ah, the fun we have searching the Internet for out of the ordinary audio sites. And we're always surprised to find so many new sites offering such a diversity of sounds. After much exploration, here is our latest sampling of sites that focus on providing one of a kind Internet sounds.

The G. Robert Vincent Voice Library from Michigan State University is the largest academic voice library in the nation. It contains over 50,000 speeches, performances, lectures and interviews from all walks of life recorded over 100 years. The Web site features recordings from U.S. Presidents of the 21st century and from the Michigan Writers Series.

Kid's Internet Radio was formed by parents to provide an interactive, creative and safe environment on the Internet in which children can come together from anywhere in the world. Programs feature guests who are well known to children. Kid's Internet Radio also features children's music CDs for sale and kids can submit their artwork for display on the site.

This site allows you to search the Web for sound effects and musical instrument samples. Some of the sound categories include TV and movies, musical instruments, animals, household sounds and sports and recreation. There are loads of sound files to be found in each category. Audio files containing obscenities are filtered out so the site is safe for children.

This Web exhibition spotlights material from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Music Collection. For many victims of Nazi brutality, music was an important means of preserving and asserting their humanity. These songs offer a glimpse into the events and emotions that their creators and original audiences experienced firsthand.

The TRACON.com features links to live audio from an assortment of air traffic control facilities. There are also links to live air traffic control video and flight tracking.
