Grand UltraView Gets Set to Top Market
As set-top boxes that allow computer users to view computer and internet programs on their televisions become increasingly popular, more companies are adding their products to the mix. Dobbs-Stanford has done just that with their own set-top box priced at about $450.
The Grand UltraView Pro uses a proprietary video encoder chip which plugs into a Personal computer and a TV then converts the high VGA resolutions to S-Video or RGB video. This allows users to use their computers as they normally would – Internet access, games, DVD movies, business applications – and view them on full size or big-screen TVs.
The set-top also allows viewers to watch their favorite TV programs as they normally would.
The set-top box comes with a wirless remote control with a built-in mouse so users can quickly jump back and forth between TV and PC applications and has a range of upt to 75 feet.
