Starz Encore Delivers TiVo’s Ipreview

San Jose, CA and Englewood, CO - September 5, 2000 - TiVo, Inc., the creator of personal television, and Starz Encore Group LLC (Starz Encore) today announced that Starz Encore will launch TiVo’s Ipreview for all of its on-air promotional announcements. Through the use of TiVo’s Ipreview, Starz Encore will transform traditional promotional spots into an interactive viewer experience. This new service will give viewers the convenience of scheduling a recording for a desired movie while watching the promo, thus creating an effective tool for consumers to more immediately pick their viewing choices.

Beginning immediately, Ipreview will be available to Starz Encore customers exclusively through the TiVo Personal Television Service(tm). Starz Encore subscribers who have TiVo will see a small “thumbs-up” icon in the corner of their television screens during promotional breaks for upcoming movies on Starz Encore. This icon indicates that the program can be scheduled for recording, using Ipreview. With a click of the TiVo remote, viewers can ensure that they will never again miss a movie they want to see from whichever of the channels they subscribe to within the Starz Encore Super Pak family of premium movie channels - and they can watch it at their convenience.
