TeleCruz and OpenTV Agreement
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. OpenTV Corp., the leading worldwide provider of software to enable digital interactive television, and TeleCruz Technology Inc., a leading innovator of open - platforms for interactive television, today extended terms of their original licensing agreement. Per the new terms, TeleCruz will upgrade from Device Mosaic 3.x to Device Mosaic 4.1.0 as part of its open platform solution, enabling television OEMs and set-top box manufacturers to deliver easy-to-use and cost effective interactive capabilities to consumers.
Device Mosaic 4.1.0 provides the TeleCruz single-chip platform increased functionality by advancing the breakthrough technology established in previous versions of the product. This new version supports HTTP 1.1 protocol while offering an exclusive printing feature, capabilities for pJava and improved backward compatibility for SSL 2.0. Device Mosaic also includes an Advanced Television Enhancement Forum (ATVEF) compliant client. ATVEF 1.0 support enables the delivery of synchronized broadcast and Internet content over both analog and digital video systems using terrestrial, cable, satellite and Internet networks.
