ReplayTV Teams Up With San Francisco 49′ers ReplayTV Huddles With San Francisco 49ers
Mountain View, Calif. — Oct. 27, 2000 — ReplayTV Inc., the leader in personal television, has teamed up with the San Francisco 49ers to promote its ReplayTV digital video recorder and the free ReplayTV Service. At all home games this season at 3Com Park, an in-stadium product demo and giveaway will be conducted between the first and second quarters of the game. ReplayTV’s instant replay and pause features will be demonstrated on the Jumbotron by 49er game announcer Bob Sarlatte and the “ReplayTV Fan of the Game” will be announced. In the stands, a 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleader will present the lucky fan with a certificate for a ReplayTV digital video recorder. Niner fans will get a first-hand look at how ReplayTV dramatically enhances the home spectator experience for any sports enthusiast.
Since this innovative technology is one that consumers really understand once they experience it, ReplayTV will be on-site at every 49ers home game with a virtual mega-screen cineplex in the Gold Mine area of 3Com Park. Beginning at 9 a.m., each home game, six big screen TV’s, provided by The Good Guys, will display the morning football games. In addition ReplayTV personnel will give one-on-one demonstrations of ReplayTV showing fans how pause, instant replay, QuickSkipTM, frame advance and slow motion enhance the football game experience.
