Video-On-Demand Now a Reality: Movies on Your Home Computer
PHOENIX, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ via NewsEdge
Corporation - Bryan Media Group, Inc. announced today the
completion of its cutting edge product,
Video-On-Demand. The product will allow
consumers to view full-length feature films on
their computer.
After nearly three years of intensive research,
development, and testing, Bryan Media Group
completed the Video-On-Demand product. The
video has been perfected to DVD-like quality
with digital audio and crisp resolution at full
screen. Video-On-Demand will be available
on-line in the first quarter of 2001. “All that’s
needed is Windows Media Player or Real Player.
There is no expensive set-top box required,” said
CEO Steven R. Chanen. “Movies will be available
24/7 at an affordable price. The consumer will be
able click on a movie and sit back with their
popcorn immediately. Plus, unlike pay-per-view
and other products, the consumer can pause the
movie if necessary. Industry experts agree that
there is no product that comes close to our
quality.”
The company is currently in discussions with
potential strategic partners. The objective for
partnership is to increase the marketing and
distribution lines in order to reach the mass
consumer market. “Realizing we are a David in
the world of Goliaths, we will align ourselves with
one or more strategic partners in order to gain
competitive distribution channels. We are in the
early stages of negotiations and hope to make
an announcement by the end of the year.”
