RAVISENT and FUNAI Partner to Deliver Consumer DVD Products

companies, today announced a strategic
partnership aimed at producing next generation
consumer electronic appliances delivering
RAVISENT’s latest DVD technology.
In partnership with STMicroelectronics, the
world’s leading supplier of MPEG video decoders,
FUNAI is licensing RAVISENT’s Software
CineMaster CE device driver and DVD navigation
engine utilizing the ST 5508 host processor and
MPEG2 decoder.
RAVISENT’s relationship with FUNAI will enable
FUNAI to leverage the advanced functionality of
Software CineMaster CE, providing playback of
theater-quality video and audio from DVDs.
