AV Toolbox, a division of TV One Multimedia Solutions, recently announced the XGA Theater, a low-cost video-to-XGA converter. And with its built-in TV tuner, the company said, you can view cable and broadband TV stations or play video games on your computer monitor, in the highest possible resolution. Eclipsing other products that convert video up to 640×480 VGA resolution, XGA Theater is designed to convert video to 800×600 SVGA and 1024×768 XGA.

XGA Theater allows composite and S-video signals to be viewed on the monitor, LCD panel or TFT display in full-screen, living room quality, according to AV Toolbox. Specifically, XGA Theater reportedly imports video and stereo audio from a variety of sources, including camcorders, DVD players, VCRs, video games and laser disks.

Available now, XGA Theater comes with a $149 suggested retail price. The company plans to show the product at the upcoming CES Expo, coming to Las Vegas in January.
