Reprinted from an IDP press release:

Paris/London, December 6, 2001 – Bloomberg Television,, an international broadcast network, reporting on the world of business and finance, has signed a deal with IDP to use RegieLine, the interactive television publishing and updating software suite.

This multi-year and multi-territory deal will provide Bloomberg Television with new and advanced interactive functions. Subscribers will be able to tailor their financial information according to their personal preferences, to create their own stock portfolio, calculate gains and losses, and follow sectors and companies of interest to them.

Bloomberg Television selected RegieLine following a call for bids from the major players in the European interactive television market.

Key toBloomberg Television’s decision was RegieLine’s multi-platform capabilities, allowing Bloomberg Television to provide a fast, simple and low-cost rollout of interactive services over the platforms of which it operates in different countries. In the short term, Bloomberg Television will work with RegieLine technology in France on the CanalSatellite network, and has plans to expand its relationship with IDP to use RegieLine technology throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Four million European households currently subscribe to operators who already have integrated RegieLine technology on their platform.
