CES: SONICBlue Shows ReplayTV 4000

SONICBlue, which recently acquired RePlayTV, showed the ReplayTV 4000 unit which had been announced in November, at CES. The 4000 series adds to Replay PVR features the ability to send recordings of TV programs to other 4000 units using broadband Internet connections. The unit can also store digital photos and play them as slide shows. Various Replay units, including the 4000, can be programmed remotely via the World Wide Web.
A SONICBlue rep said at CES that SONICBlue is now the only manufacturer and seller of ReplayTV PVRs.
Prices for the new models, which come with no monthly service fees, range from $699 for the ReplayTV 4040, which holds up to 40 hours of storage, to $1,999 for the ReplayTV 4320, which comes with a 320-hour program storage capacity.
