RealNetworks and Turner Sports Interactive recently cemented a multi-year deal to provide NASCAR fans with interactive viewing features. On race days, fans can now take advantage of customizable video highlights and week-in-review programming during all of NASCAR’s Winston Cup and Busch Series races.
Fans can subscribe and receive “premium” racing content two ways: nascar.com TrackPass or nascar.com on RealOne.
The nascar.com TrackPass package, available for $29.95 annually, or $4.95 per month offers “Race Cast,” live leader-board and race status info; “In-Car Audio Select,” which allows users to listen in while their chosen driver talks to his pit crew; “RaceVault,” a mechanism that allows fans to create their own video highlight reel, and general interactive access to all the races.
The nascar.com on RealOne service, available at $11.95 per month, features all TrackPass features described above as well as “NASCAR.com Race Review / Race Preview,” a twice-weekly, on-demand in-depth NASCAR studio show, as well as RealOne membership, which offers news, sports and entertainment programming.
Nascar.com is now the third major sports entity to offer programming to RealOne Members, joining the National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball.
