Onkyo Introduces Envision Theater LSV-950

Reprinted from an Onkyo press release:

Onkyo has introduced the Envision Theater LSV-950, an integrated
40-Watt per channel DVD receiver and 5.1-channel speaker system that
turns any television into a great sounding home theater in minutes.

The Envision’s elegant base unit features progressive-scan component
video as well as S-video and standard A/V outputs for optimum
compatibility with existing televisions. Built-in Dolby Digital, Dolby
ProLogic II and DTS decoders deliver 5.1-channel audio to the included
speaker/subwoofer package for clear, dynamic sound effects and a
multichannel soundstage that puts the viewer in the movie. The player
is also compatible with CDs, CD-R/RWs, and even MP3-encoded discs,
making the Envision Theater versatile and impressive as both an audio
and home theater system.

Color-coded terminals and intuitive organization makes setup and
operation of the Envision Theater simple and fast. The receiver
includes enough connections for up to 4 additional components such as
VCR, Cable or Satellite, and Tape or MD loop, making it an ideal
centerpiece for a home entertainment system. The unit also features a
built-in FM/AM tuner with 30 presets.

The included six-speaker surround system includes four two-way front
and surround satellites, a two-way horizontal center channel, and a
120-watt powered subwoofer for deep bass reproduction. The center
channel and satellites are all equipped with 3-3/5-inch Onkyo Micro
Fiber Cone woofers and ceramic tweeters for ideally matched tonal
response, and all are magnetically shielded to prevent picture
degradation if placed near television screens.

The Envision includes a full-function learning remote control that can
be programmed to operate all the components in a home entertainment
system, making it an ideal way to eliminate the “remote clutter” that
plagues most entertainment systems.

The Onkyo Envision Theater LS-V950 is now available with a
suggested retail price of $900.
