Pioneer Deploys Interactive TV Games on PA Cable System

LONG BEACH, Calif. and BLUE RIDGE, Pa., July 15 /PRNewswire/ — Pioneer Digital Technologies Inc., a leader in interactive navigation software, and Blue Ridge Communications announced the deployment of PassTime Games interactive game application, on Blue Ridge Communications’ cable systems. PassTime Games is a portfolio of interactive games developed by Pioneer to enhance entertainment options for subscribers. The games are fully integrated level-two applications, which keep users in touch with their programming options and allow them to watch their favorite cable channels while playing. PassTime Games is being offered by the Pennsylvania cable operator to 7,500 digital-tier subscribers as an added value to their existing cable service.

The PassTime Games application is an upgrade add-on product for the Passport(TM) Application and Navigation Suite. Blue Ridge will install traditional solitaire games as well as games that put a new twist on blackjack and poker. The games are the latest example of Pioneer’s leadership in creating exciting digital applications for the cable industry.
