InterVideo Integrates DivX into WinDVD Platinum DVD Player

Under the agreement, InterVideo has licensed DivX and DivX Pro video compression technology for the company’s leading line of digital video and audio multimedia software products.

WinDVD Platinum, the most recent version of the world’s best-selling DVD player, is the first InterVideo product to feature DivX technology. Additionally, InterVideo plans to integrate DivX and DivX Pro encoding technology into future versions of other leading products. WinDVD Platinum includes a number of powerful new features such as SRS Headphones, Movieffecter filter for improved video quality and Dolby Virtual Speaker Technology for surround sound on only 2 speakers. WinDVD Platinum is now officially integrated with the DivX decoder, enabling users to play back full-screen, high-quality DivX video files.
