Samsung Announces New HD Sets

Samsung showcased their latest foray into Digital television, making DTV monitors affordable, easy to use, attractive and suitably sized to replace older sets. Most monitors feature Samsung’s DNIe, their Digital Natural Image engine, which ensures improved contrast, detail, white tone and noise reduction, and dual high definition inputs.

Samsung’s DynaFlat series offers the industry’s smallest and most affordable HD widescreen and 4:3 monitors with full HDTV capabilities. The monitors range in size from 26 to 32 inches and include Samsung’s new Finer Pixel Dot Pitch CRT 3:2 pull down process to address film to video transfer issues. All are compatible with the latest Progressive Scan DVD players. They will be available in June, 2003, and have a price range of $899 to $1,599.

Slimmed down versions of Samsung’s tabletop rear projection DLP HDTV range from 43″ to 61″ and feature a 2/3″ wide bezel with a depth of less than 20 inches deep weighing less than 105 pounds. The price ranges from $3,999-$5,499 and they will be available in June, 2003.

Six new plasma LCD widescreens range from 17″ to 46″ and offer thinner 3″ deep designs, improved contrast ratio and HDTV and PC compatibility. Prices in this series range from $899 to $8,999 available in June of this year.
