AVerMedia Announces Tuner/DVR Cards

Comprised of an internal PCI card, wireless remote control, and related proprietary software, the AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 300 is a cable-ready product that lets individuals watch TV and capture video without leaving their PC. AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 300 supports pause, rewind, and instant replay using the product’s Personal Video Recorder (PVR) functions; it also includes a TV recording scheduler compatible with the Titan TV online broadcast guide (www.titantv.com) for recording programs when away from home, or while watching a second program. Videotape-to-DVD and TV-to-DVD transfer is also possible via AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 300 and 350 with the FREE, bundled neoDVDstandard DIGITAL SUITE (DVD/CD burner required), a $59.95 value.
AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 350, the second product in the line, offers all the features of AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 300 plus Stereo/SAP (Secondary Audio Program) capability and an FM tuner for high-fidelity FM radio listening. With the AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 350, TV viewers can enjoy their TV programs in full stereo sound along with foreign language translation or teletext; what’s more, music lovers can listen to FM radio while working on their PC, or record FM radio programs or music to the computer’s hard drive in MP3 digital format.

The new AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 300 and 350 are inexpensively priced and suitable for home, work, or school. Using the products’ capture capability, individuals can transfer home videotapes to the more stable DVD format. The bundled neoDVDstandard DIGITAL SUITE DVD authoring software from MedioStream lets users complete a wide range of basic and advanced video editing tasks such as creating chapters, adding music, inserting titles and credits, and combining photos with video. All types of video equipment including analog camcorders, VHS/VCR, DV, and miniDV, are supported.
The PVR component of the AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 300 and 350 records all forms of video–broadcast or analog video input–in real-time. Live TV can be paused, rewound, and replayed instantly, even while continuing to record the same program in real-time.

The AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 300 is priced at $69.99, while the AVerMedia UltraTV PCI 350 is $99.99 (both prices MSRP). Units will begin shipping in the second half of July and will be available at most major consumer electronics and computer retail outlets.
