Ino Technologies Launches TVPC

Today, Ino Technologies, Inc., announced that it is shipping new, faster versions of TVPC, the PC for the living room, in time for the holiday season.
The four new models, which use a new small footprint case, come complete with component video output to connect to HDTV, SPDIF optical audio output, remote control and other new features, including: A new front panel that supports inputs for many popular memory devices such as Sony Memory Stick, and Smart Media. This new capability will allow customers to take pictures directly from a digital camera and display them on the family TV. As TVPC connects directly to a customer’s audio and video system, customers can play MP3, DivX, and AVI files directly through their home audio equipment, without having to transfer files to another device.
The new TVPC’s range in price from $999 for TVPC 1, to $2400 for TVPC 4, and include up to 1GB of RAM with 256 MB of video RAM. All models include (in addition to the features mentioned above), DVD player or DVD recorder, AM/FM radio, built-in equalizer for total sound control, Microsoft Windows XP (Nasdaq: MSFT), and Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) or AMD (NYSE: AMD) microprocessors with speeds up to 3 Ghz. Another feature is the HiFi button, which is located on the front of the new machines and allows the operator to play the radio, MP3, CD’s or DVD’s without having to power on the units PC functions.
By using the basic PC platform as a building block, TVPC’s are fully compatible with PC games, PC software and PC peripherals. These new TVPCs are ideal for playing on-line games, cruising the internet, video chat and other interactive PC functions, all from the comfort of the media room. The new machines are designed to blend in with a living room décor and audio equipment. Additionally TVPC’s come in a choice of unique trim colors, Vivid Orange, Baby Blue or Lime Green.
