GoVideo Announces DVD Recorder/VCR

Reprinted from a GoVideo press release:

Bolstering its retail presence with a wider selection of innovative consumer electronics products, GoVideo today announced the introduction of two new DVD Recorders, its new Dual- Deck DVD Recorder + VCR, and single-deck DVD Recorder. And, furthering its commitment to excellence in customer service, the company has raised the bar again, introducing GoVideo’s new ‘White Glove Customer Care,’ providing an enhanced level of support for first-time users of DVD Recorder products.

GoVideo’s new VR3930 and VR4940 models represent the company’s first Dual- Deck line combining a DVD recorder and hi-fi VCR all in one, capable of copying VHS tapes to DVD and DVD discs to VHS at the touch of a button. GoVideo, the inventor of the world’s first Dual-Deck VCR and DVD+VCR product lines, continues to lead the market with the introduction of pioneering new dual products backed by its patented technologies. No other product on the market today offers the simplicity and convenience of GoVideo’s one-touch copy capability.

For digital camcorder owners, transferring home movies to DVD has never been easier. A convenient front panel DV input (1394 connection) enables digital camcorders to be plugged in for easy recording to DVD and for playback on the TV.

The new VR4940 model comes in a sleek, black-colored design equipped with GoVideo’s two latest feature innovations, EZ Play and MyDVD. GoVideo’s EZ Play feature automatically skips ads, trailers and menus, jumping right to the start of the movie. Simply place the disc in the tray, press the play key, and the movie starts without interruption.

GoVideo’s My DVD feature also makes using this DVD player easier than any other both for adults and children. It permanently stores the set-up preferences that on most other DVD players need to be checked or unchecked every time you load a new DVD. The VR4940 model is also capable of video CD playback and features a handy backlit, multi-brand remote.

All Video Modes Can Be Used Whether Viewing DVD or VHS Material
Unlike other DVD+VCR combination products on the market today, users can connect the DVD Recorder + VCR to their television using any of the available video connections, including S-Video and Component/Progressive video, and view both DVD and VHS material without having to change connections. This convenient feature is only available on GoVideo’s line of DVD Recorder + VCR Dual-Decks.

The VR3930 Dual-Deck is shipping now to retailers throughout the United States. The VR4940 Dual-Deck is scheduled to be available in January.

R6530 DVD Recorder Includes Built-in TV Tuner, Records Up To 6 hours On A Single Disc
GoVideo’s new R6530 DVD Recorder lets users easily record their favorite television shows to high quality, long-lasting DVD+R/RW discs. The built-in TV tuner and on-screen user interface enables up to eight timer recordings to be scheduled at once, with five recording speeds providing between one and six hours of content on each DVD disc. The R6530 DVD Recorder’s high quality recordings and ease-of-use makes it a perfect replacement for the traditional VCR.

The new R6530 DVD Recorder’s versatile playback capability features progressive scan output and supports DVD-Video, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/W, Audio CDs, MP3s and JPEGs, and Kodak Picture CDs. A wide variety of today’s video and audio inputs allows for connection to virtually all televisions and home theater systems. An easy-to-use remote controls all of the action. GoVideo’s R6530 DVD Recorder is available now throughout the U.S.

GoVideo Offers ‘White Glove Customer Care’ To First-Time DVD Recorder Owners
To enhance the product experience and enable first-time DVD Recorder owners to easily transition from the VCR format, GoVideo is launching a new level of customer support designed to walk customers through their first DVD recording. GoVideo’s ‘White Glove Customer Care’ provides a DVD+R/W disc in the box with instructions on how to call a GoVideo customer service representative for free valuable assistance in making their first recording. It’s GoVideo’s way of promoting the DVD recording experience and enabling customers to achieve a high degree of comfort using the product right out of the box.

“As consumers transition from VCR to DVD technology, they’re looking for products that are packed with features and simple to use,” said Ed Brachocki, GoVideo’s president and chief operating officer. “Our expertise in harnessing new technologies to create advanced, intuitive products makes our DVD recorders the obvious choice. Additionally, our ‘White Glove Customer Care’ for DVD Recorder customers adds to the tremendous value of the product, creating an even smoother technology transition. We plan to continue to develop and introduce several DVD Recorder products going forward.”
