Reprinted from a KWorld press release:
KWorld Computer Co. Ltd., manufacturer of a full line of multi-media processing equipment for the PC marketplace, announces MediaCenter 200 Deluxe, a single card conversion system that turns any PC (from a Pentium III 800 up) into a full featured, multi-media control station that rivals Microsoft Windows XP Media Center.
“This is a cutting edge product that’s far superior to anything in the marketplace,” said Robert Chen, Vice-President of KWorld. “This is the best answer to enjoying today’s variety of audio/video products and we expect tremendous sales of this product.”
MediaCenter 200 Deluxe is a multi media processing card, complete with IR remote control, that lets you capture, control, and manipulate audio and video from antenna, cable, satellite, camcorder, VCR, or other sources.
MediaCenter 200 Deluxe lets you use your PC to watch TV, DVDs, pictures, music, and video - pause live TV, record a show, listen to your favorite songs, import play-lists, and enjoy a DVD movie with theater-like sound and HDTV resolution. “It’s just like Windows Media Center Edition for less than 1/3 the cost and without the need to upgrade to the leading edge PC technology!”
Bundled with Intervideo’s WinDVDCreator-2 and Home Theatre, the system captures and stores the captured material in a variety of formats for playback, editing, copying, and storage
MediaCenter 200 Deluxe supports world wide television standards, time shifting to record & playback live TV programs at the same time (Like TIVO), music playback, picture and slide show viewing, and karaoke DVD playback
The system features easy to install and simple to use functions that allow you to capture any audio or video including off air TV signals and real-time video with hardware-driven MPEG-2/1.
Minimum system requirements for the MediaCenter 200 Deluxe include a Pentium III 800 PC with Window XP or 2000, a free PCI 2.2 slot, a graphics card that supports Microsoft DirectX 8.1 or higher, a SoundBlaster 16 compatible sound card, and a CD ROM for installation. CDR and DVD-R are required for burning and permanent storage of material.
The MediaCenter 200 Deluxe ships with all necessary A/V adapter cables, FM antenna, and a full function IR remote control/receiver pickup.
